Roles & Responsibilities – Operational Lead (Manager Level)
1. Production Management
– Lead and oversee end-to-end garment production processes (cutting, screen printing, embroidery, sewing, finishing, QC).
– Develop and execute production schedules to ensure timely delivery in line with customer and internal deadlines.
– Monitor daily output, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
– Ensure all production activities meet quality standards and minimize defect rates.
2. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
– Manage purchasing and procurement of garment raw materials (fabric, accessories, inks, trims) according to production needs.
– Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
– Monitor stock levels and oversee inventory control to prevent shortages or overstocking.
3. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Management
– Supervise and guide cross-functional teams (production, purchasing, design) to achieve operational goals.
– Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation to team leaders and staff.
– Foster collaboration and effective communication between departments to support production flow.
– Ensure a safe, disciplined, and productive work environment in the factory.
4. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
– Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives (efficiency, cost reduction, waste minimization).
– Implement and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across all production stages.
– Drive process automation and system usage (ERP/production software) to improve operational visibility.
5. Reporting & Strategic Contribution
– Report regularly to senior management on production status, challenges, and improvement plans.
– Contribute to strategic decisions on capacity planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
– Support product development by collaborating with the design team on feasibility, costing, and production methods.
– Lead problem-solving during production or supply chain disruptions to minimize impact on delivery.
Mandatory Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree (Management, Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or equivalent).
– Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in the garment/convection industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
– Strong understanding of garment production processes (cutting, screen printing, embroidery, sewing, finishing, QC).
– Experienced in supply chain management & garment raw material purchasing.
– Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams (production, purchasing, design).
– Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
– Able to work under strict targets and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus Points):
– Previous experience in a garment company with more than 50 employees.
– Proficient in production management/ERP software (e.g., advanced Excel, Odoo, or other production systems).
– Established network with garment raw material vendors (fabric, accessories, inks, etc.).
